GameGuide AI ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our application. Our fundamental principle is simple: we don't collect, store, or share your personal data.
Information We Do Not Collect
GameGuide AI is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Location data
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Browsing history
- Contact information
- Health or biometric data
Data Storage
All your data remains under your control:
Local Storage
Your saved games, cheat sheets, and preferences are stored locally on your device using secure iOS data storage mechanisms.
iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account. This sync is managed entirely by Apple's iCloud infrastructure and governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to your iCloud data.
No Server Storage
We do not operate backend servers that store your personal information. All data processing happens on-device or through secure, stateless API calls that do not retain your data.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services in a privacy-preserving manner:
Apple StoreKit
Used for in-app subscription processing. All payment information is handled entirely by Apple. We never see, store, or process your payment details.
IGDB API (Game Database)
Used to fetch game metadata (titles, cover art, platform information). These requests contain only game-related search queries and do not include any personal information. Requests are made directly from your device.
AI Content Generation
We use AI services to generate game guides and answer questions. These requests contain only game-related information and your questions — never personal data. Responses are generated in real-time and not stored externally.
No Analytics or Tracking
We do not use any analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services. There are no advertising networks integrated into the App. Any development logging used for debugging purposes is not transmitted to external servers and is not active in production builds.
Data Retention
Since we don't collect personal data, there is no data to retain. Your locally stored app data persists until you delete the app or clear its data. iCloud data follows Apple's iCloud retention policies and remains under your control.
Children's Privacy
GameGuide AI is rated 4+ on the App Store and is safe for all ages. Since we collect no personal information from any user, we are compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and similar international regulations regarding children's privacy.
Your Rights
Because we don't collect personal data, traditional data rights requests (access, deletion, portability) are not applicable in the conventional sense. However:
- You can delete all app data by uninstalling the application
- You can manage iCloud data through your device Settings
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
